Experience/Remarks

I believe learning should be an enjoyable and fascinating journey for kids. My approach for students is to invite and encourage them to challenge themselves towards the understanding of languages and intellectual subjects, thus gradually gaining the interest in continuous learning. My greatest achievement in teaching is witnessing the changes in their mind-set towards learning as well as the gradual improvements my students achieve.

I have started teaching earlier this year. Initially it was to help my P6 cousin to prepare for his upcoming PSLE. At first, he had no interest in any of the subjects except for the latest games the market can offer. Gradually as we work together to understand various topics, he attitude towards learning changed. I felt a great sense of achievement after just weeks into teaching. He was able to conquer the paper with an impressive improvement of 52% (64 marks) compared to his previous attempt of 42 marks. There I discovered my love for teaching.

Currently i have 4 students under my wing. I am also teaching a group of students in a tuition center. I am very patient with my kids. I believe that the kid should fully understand a certain topic before rushing on to other concepts regardless of the time. This is to ensure that the topics taught will not be a hurdle as the kid gradually learns tougher concepts in life.

I hope that though my contributions as well as working together with their parents we are able to cultivate the younger ones
