Experience/Remarks

I have tutored 7 Economics students ranging from H1, H2 students to IB students. They come from RJC, ACJC, SAJC and JJC. 5 have already taken GCE A'Levels and I currently have 2 students taking their exams end of this year. Therefore I have amassed large amounts of resources and experience to help students taking A'Levels or IB exams.

I was also a relief teacher to Secondary 2 and 3 students in Catholic High School, teaching English and History. I was able to secure recommendations from fellow teachers and my HOD for my teaching performance which helped me obtain the MOE Overseas Teaching Scholarship

I am currently teaching Economics and History at a government-aided independent school. My official teaching subjects are Economics and History. I have also chosen to only teach these two subjects as a tutor, as I am confident that with the level of knowledge I have gained at A'Level, the resources I have gathered as a student, and the immense amount of effort spent studying these subjects, I would be in a very advantageous position to impart knowledge in these two subjects.

Students have reflected to me that after Economics lessons, they do not only have a greater understanding of their syllabus, but also more interested to engage their questions at a higher level in hope of obtaining distinctions. I make an effort to collect newspaper and magazine articles to help them hone their arguments. This has helped them have a more holistic and discerning underst
