Experience/Remarks

I have 8 years tutoring experience. Some of my pupils went on to HCI (265), VS(250), NYGH (266), St. Nicholas (260) and TKSS (247). I am equally adept at teaching both primary and secondary level. Currently I'm teaching a graduating class in a primary school in north-western Singapore.

I am a very committed tutor and as a testament to this, I had a pupil whom I saw through PSLE (Nan Hua Primary School) and O-Level (Hwa Chong Instituition). I'm still tutoring his cousin who is now in the best class in Tanjong Katong Secondary School . He has been with me since he was in Primary 4 (Red Swastika Primary School) and will be sitting for his O-level in 2009.

I also believe that it is important for a tutor to build a warm relationship with his or her pupils and their parents. Often times, it takes a coordinated effort between these three parties to ensure the child's academic success.

At this point in time, I'm also looking at conducting group tuition (maximum of 5 per group). After 8 years of tutoring, I realise that cost can be reduced for parents and pupils can still receive individualised instructions even in a group setting.

Commitment Level

Dear Parents,

At this point in time, I'm not taking any more new individual assignments as I do not know my school's timetable as yet. I do not wish to overcommit myself to something that I cannot deliver.

Upon knowing my schedule for next year, I will begin to conduct group tuition for those who are interested.

Thank you.

Testimonial: Mr. Amin is able to explain new concepts to my son in an easy to understand manner. He is also able to explain things in an alternative manner should my son be unable to understand them the first time round. Another thing that I'd like to note is that he comes across as a friend and this makes my son more comfortable around him.

Testimonial: Mr Amin comes across as thoughtful and friendly, with a respectful yet easy-going disposition which goes down well with children. He is methodical in his approach making it easier for my daughter to comprehend. It speaks volumes when my daughter says she actually enjoys the lessons.
